(Nova Scotia)
A group of Saint Mary's Bay musicians unite to perform
the traditional music of Louisiana. They joined together to perform
at a Mardi Gras in Saint Mary's Bay and have been playing ever since. Through the accordion, fi ddles, guitar, bass and drums,
follow the rhythm of traditional Cajun waltz and two-step sounds. Cadien will transport their audiences to Cajun country through
their music.
Fused For Tonight (Nova Scotia)
Fused For Tonight plays a «fusion» of contemporary rock and pop music, combined with fresh, original
songs and rich harmonies. The group released their first album their first full-length album entitled "The Far Side"
in 2008.
Dixacadie (Nova Scotia)
In May 2000, a group of young dancers presented a piece in a school variety show. The Tourism Association's Executive
Director, who was in attendance, then invited the girls to perform at the inaugural launch of the international ferry,
the CAT. From that time, Dixacadie continues to celebrate the Acadian culture through song and dance. Their show reconstructs
Acadian history from the time of its fathers to present day.

Julian Babin (Nova Scotia)
Singer/songwriter Julian Babin was born and raised in the small Acadian fishing village of Wedgeport, Nova Scotia.
He fell in love with the guitar at the age of 12 and began to create his own material in his twenties. He has recorded
four albums, his latest being Midnight Carousel.
Simon et André (Nova Scotia)
Simon et André are a duo from Par-en-Bas that have been playing together for four years. They have a very
wide range of music, making them versatile to any crowd.
La Famille Arseneault (New Brunswick)

La Famille Arseneault is an Acadian family unit of 3 generations from New Brunswick,
Canada. This group has an unbelievable renewable source of energy that has come from deep in the heart as they continue to
excite audiences throughout Atlantic Canada and the United States. The group is a multiple East Coast Music Association Nominee's
(2007 and 2009). Their performance has the ability to make you want to join them on stage for a rousing step dancing performance
of good cheer, singing, foot tapping and clapping along.
Weldon Boudreau (Nova Scotia)
Weldon is a cultural artist whose vested interest in preserving and promoting the Acadian
way of life reaffirms his combined awareness of where he comes from and where he is going. He is a bilingual singer/songwriter
and a multi-instrumentalist. His voice is soft and melodious and his songwriting brings forth a feeling of nostalgia. Through
song, he often creates a snapshot of a moment in time with masterful phrasing and sensationalism of small town living and
its everyday heroes. He has been entertaining people of all ages for numerous years. He has most recently completed the recording
of a 12 song debut album. He has been said to be one of Cape Breton's best kept "Acadian" secrets.
Easy II (Nova
Scotia) Easy II is a local band featuring artists from the Clare area. This band's sound
has transformed form it's early 1990's easy listening roots (former name was Easy) to what has today become a mix of country
with a shot of rock n roll. This band pays tribute to one of its late founding members, Gordon LeBlanc whose passion for music
is commemorated by the present day group's enthusiasm for their music. For the past 13 years this band has evolved to
include all family members which include Lydie Comeau, Russell Comeau and Joanne Belliveau.
Phillip Clairmont (Nova Scotia)
Phillip Clairmont is the author and director of this year's festival play called La bête à rhubobe. He is a resident
of Melbourne in Yarmouth County NS an d a retired teacher. He has been very active in the theatre for some thirty-five years
as author, director and actor. He has many plays to his credit such as: La Fortune de Ben, Dans son p'tit Coin, La Chute de
Montgomery, Let's Murder Marsha, Opening Night, Chez Nous, Héritage, L'Airport de l'Île-à-Molue and others.
Jennifer
MacIntosh (Nova Scotia)
Jen has been involved in music since the age of 3. She has completed her grade 9 piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music
and has been teaching piano since the age of 12. At the age of 16, Jen began touring with the group Acadie a la Mode
in Europe, United States and throughout parts of Canada. Jen has received many favorable reviews especially in France where
she has headlined at different festivals and events. Now she has over 60 students for both piano and singing and is currently
getting her teaching degree from University Saint Anne's in Church Point.
The Grinders (Nova Scotia)
Also known as the multi-functional
dance band, The Grinders offer a wide range of music from the 50's to modern music. The Grinders are best known for their
harmonious music that has the ability to make you want to get up and dance. The band caters to a wide range of clients and
is suitable for all ages. The Group has been playing together since 1995 and includes David Bishara (Front Man), André
Surette (Keyboard/ entertainment), Danny Surette (Drums), Dave LeBlanc (guitare), Michel Melanson (sound man) and
ECMA award winner Paul Melanson (Base/ Mandolin).
Delbert & Friends (Nova Scotia)
Delbert Bourque offers a successful contribution
to the Club Acadian entertainment line-up by providing a live show every second Friday night. His success comes
with the help of his friends (Donald d'Eon, Norman d'Entremont, Irvin Surette, Paul Moulaison, Mike Surette, Blair Surette,
Gary Greene, Suzette Belliveau, George Muise, Walter Muise, Andre Surette and Gordon Muise). Together, Delbert and his friends
give a toe-tapping performance by recruiting guest bands and individuals to perform.
