Friday, July 10th

7 pm - WEDGEPORT

    Opening Concert under the big tent: Official welcome and comedic skit by Phillip Clairmont. Performances by Jennifer MacIntosh and students, Julian Babin with special invited guests and La Famille Arseneault (http://www.famillearseneault.com/) . Doors open at 6pm, M&M Meat Shops BBQ.  Bring your own chair. For all ages. $10 per adult, $7 per student, children 10 and under free. École Wedgeport.

Saturday, July 11th

8 am - SAINTE-ANNE-DU-RUISSEAU

    Pickerel Fishing Tournament Mingo Beck Lake(fishing license and life jacket mandatory). $10 per person. Information: 648-2176. 

11:30 am - WEST PUBNICO

    Triathlon at the Village historique acadien. Youth ages 12 to15 will be running 2.4 km, cycling 3.4 km (mountain bikes only) and kayaking 0.9 km. Adults, ages 16 and up, will be running 4 km, cycling 13.3 km (mountain bikes only) and kayaking 2.9 km. Information and registration: Kathy at 762-2530. 

1 pm - SAINTE-ANNE-DU-RUISSEAU

    Car Rally - Beginning at the Eel Brook Service Centre. $10 per person. Information: 648-3472.

5 pm - 9 pm LOWER ARGYLE

    Cajun menu at the Ye Olde Argyler Lodge. Chef Jonathan Joseph features dishes such as Cajun Fried Chicken and Dirty Rice in addition to their regular menu. Reservations and informations: 643-2500.

7 pm - WEDGEPORT

    Theatre Comedy Play, la Bête à rhubobe, in Acadian French, by Phillip Clairmont.  $8 per adult, $5 per student. Wedgeport School

9 pm - WEST PUBNICO

    Bistro/dance at the Centre de Pombcoup with Hour Glass. Ages 19 and up, cash bar. $12 per person. Information: 762-2145.

    Lecture on Mi'kmaq ancestral fishing methods (in English) by Roger Lewis of Nova Scotia Museum at Wedgeport Sport Tuna Fishing Museum and Interpretive Centre. Information: 663-2908.

   Lecture on the history of Blonde Rock situated near Seal Island (in French) by Laurent d'Entremont at Wedgeport Sport Tuna Fishing Museum and Interpretive Centre. Information: 663-2908.

    Lecture by Rachelle (Richard) Watts on her visit to Saint-Pair in France, birthplace of her ancestor Antoine Richard at the Wedgeport Sport Tuna Fishing Museum and Interpretive Centre. Information: 663-2908.

    Lecture in French only, on letters written in 1810 signed by Jean Marie Cottreau of Wedgeport and Father Jean Mandé Sigogne regarding demonic possessons and exorcisms in Acadia, by Gérald Boudreau (Ph.D.) at  Wedgeport Sport Tuna Fishing Museum and Interpretive Centre. Information: 663-2908.

    Ladies Auxiliary Breakfast (Fire Department) Centre de Pombcoup. $8 per adult, $4 per child, free for those ages 5 and under.

    Louisiana Cajun Evening - Culinary demo by Trout Point Lodge chefs, $25 per person (includes three samples). Maximum 100 participants, tickets sold in advance only. Information: 648-2931 or 663-2908.

    Go back in history with the d'Entremonts - Make the acquaintance of the historical figures of Pubnico dressed in period costumes. Take a photo or paint a picture of the characters.     Mass (under a tent) celebrated by Father Maurice LeBlanc. 

4 pm - AMIRAULT'S HILL

    Turkey Supper at the Twin Village Social Club. $10 per person. 

7 pm - AMIRAULT'S HILL

    Musical evening beginning with local performers. 8 pm Easy II at the Twin Village Social Club. $8 per person, cash bar. Information: 648-2655.

7 pm - WEST PUBNICO

    Closing Concert under the big tent with Fused for Tonight, Simon et André and Cadien. For all ages. Cash bar. Doors open at 6pm.
