The Festival acadien international de Par-en-Bas has been suspended.

However Star Acadie and this Web site will be maintained.

Since March 2010 the festival has tried to get funding for an artistic director. Not being successful it was decided to suspend the festival. Funding had been obtained by the South West Shore Development Agency (SWSDA) for the festival the first two years, 2008 and 2009. With the SWSDA demise funding for an artistic director cessed.

The four Acadian festivals of West-Pubnico, Sainte-Anne-du-Ruisseau, Amirault's Hill and Wedgeport which formed the Festival Par-en-Bas will continue.

Évangéline and Gabriel 2011, visits by this Acadie ambassador couple to Canada Day Celebrations in the area.

Menu: Acadian rappie pie or seafood chowder, roll, beverage and dessert included for $10 per person, $30 per family.

There will be no fireworks at the end of the concert because of the track and field being conctructed in back of the school.
